“Dr. Asha Shajahan is not only a skilled physician but also a caring, compassionate individual going above and beyond to make the world a better place. She is highly knowledgeable about how social determinants impact health and is known for her outreach to homeless individuals. I am so impressed by her presentations and speaking engagements - I always walk away inspired and more empowered on taking care of my own health.”

“Dr. Shajahan is passionate about helping people to live smarter and healthier lives. Her genuine, authentic "on air" personality enables the consumer to comprehend difficult topics from a medical standpoint. Asha not only brings a strong family medicine acumen to the table, but also speaks to implicit bias and disparities from real world experience in working with her patients, homeless outreach and in our hospitals. She's unafraid, yet respectful, in using her voice -on podcast, TV and publications- to ask difficult questions to gain new insights and evolve the conversation. But, the one thing that makes me a super fan... is watching Dr. Shajahan help patients.

She gets it. She listens!

Asha is a super compassionate physician who goes above and beyond to help the people of Detroit and Michigan. Whether it's educating patients about obesity and dietary choices, helping with COVID-19 testing, or being involved in screening for diabetes and cardiovascular disease, I have rarely encountered such a community-oriented professional. She is the type of doctor who makes me proud of my field and who is such an incredible asset to any organization she belongs to.
